Bulb Energy has gone into Special Administration.
Special Administration is a regime for dealing with the insolvency of large energy supply companies. It is designed to
ensure continued, uninterrupted and safe operation of essential services while the company goes through the administration process. So while Bulb Energy was technically insolvent, under these arrangements, it is still operating on a “business as usual”basis.
What has changed is that he board of Directors has been replaced by the Administrators. The Administrators, having firstly stabilised the business, will assess options for a rescue of the company, ideally on a going concern basis. If that is not possible then alternative optionss will be considered such as a dissolution, compulsory liquidation or credtor’s volunataryt liquidation.
We will know more in due course, and no later than end March 2022. In the meantime, if you need to contact Bulb Energy customer service about anything, the details below are all still good, up to date and functioning. We’ve checked.
